Wednesday Wish-list

I guess this is a pretty boring wish-list. Two things really?! Working between 40 and 60 hour weeks my window shopping has taken a nose drive. All I want to do is sleep. But my Headkandy hair extensions are coming to the end of the lives. They've had to be toned four times to get them as light/white as my hair and they get worn every day. So they're pretty battered. Just because I had to tone them so many times I've decided not to re buy them and to try out Foxy Locks platinum blonde. I here it's pretty good for super bleach blondes. So when they're back in stock they will be mine. I've also nearly destroyed my purse. It's just about hanging in there. I like the ice cream one from ASOS for summer :) It has occurred to me I am just replacing thins, non-necessary things, but replacing all the same. A year of having absolutely no money has made me become even more of a realist. I haven't decided if this is good or bad yet.

Masterpiece Max: High Volume & Definition Mascara by Max Factor

This is one of the things i bought on my tax return shopping spree. I'd gotten a little sample one just before Chirstmas in a free promotion at Boots. Spend more than £15 on Max Factor products and get £25 worth of products free. So I did. And when that ran out, I found another mini in a gift set in the Christmas sales for £1.99 in Superdrug. But unfortuntly this had gone a bit dry and was making my eyelahes all clumpy. So I decided to get the full sized one. It was under a tenner anyway.

So this is the mascara I've been usinf for the last 6 moths or so and apart from an Avon one I had which has lost all wording off the bottle it is one of my favorites. It is not to sticky and it makes my lashes super long. This is super important to me as I have to wear glasses all the time if I want to see and because I'm short sighted my glasses make my eyes look smaller. Also I only really get up about half an hour before I have to be any where so I'm pretty used to wacking on my make-up and leaving my house. If my mascara is too sticky I get black bits all over my glasses, which then ends up all over my face and hands and everything just goes wrong.

It;s quite a quick drying formular i find and even if i decide I want to do a super eye rub with my hand, it doesn't smuge. Which is useful because I'm either running around for 8 hours of the day with no mirrors around serving old people Cream Teas, or running around for 5 hours in a hot and sweaty night club dealing with drunk people. Sweat-proof make-up is pretty much all I have if I don't want to look like the girls who fall out of my night club at the end of my shift.

The brush is a pretty standard mascara brush, but I use an eyelash curler on my eyelashes before anyway and after putting mascara on them they hold the shape all day anyway, so I don't really need a super fancy brush which makes them curly. I just want to be able to brush some on and go. I only ever tend to wear one coat of it as well as I fond this is enough. Mainly because i work more often than not and I can't really be bothered to look really nice, because customers will complain no matter what you look like.

I've problby rambled on enough. To sum it up, this mascara does exactly what it says on the tin. HIgh Volume and Definition. Here are some photos to prove this, and for you're viewing pleasure. Before and after. On the before photo I have already curled my eyelashes. Well briefly anyway.

Hell yeah Tax Rebate

Last month I got a lovely tax rebate. Working two jobs and be taxed a bomb paid off a little. Despite the fact that instead of saving it, which I would of if it hadn't been taxed, I had a nice day of shopping by myself in Truro.

My shopping sprees are quite hit and miss. I either want everything of nothing. The first hour of the day was spent not finding anything I wanted. I was nearly defeated until I stumbled into pre-loved boutique. It's a lovely little shop which deals in pre-owned high street clothes and shoes. There I ended up getting a sheer shirt with all the spare buttons still on. I think it was £5.99. As I work in a restaurant where the uniform is smart shirt, and as I have tattoos on my arms which need to be covered up its defiantly been getting its wear. I also managed to get a pair of pin-striped grey tailored shorts for £3.99, once again for work and a bow print tunic dress, which is pretty much the cutest thing ever for £5.99.

Because my boots card has broken, I've started defecting to Superdrug, because that loyalty card works and I'm a sucker for them. Picked up a self tanning mitt because I lost my last one. Max factor panstick, max Factor mascara and mabyline BB cream, fake nails and nail transfers all of which I will review in their own posts.

I then skipped over to HMV for a DVD binge. Straight to the tiny horror sector, which my own collect rivals. Ended up with Lake Placid 3, ZombieLand, Wrecked and Ozombie. Reviews to come.

And that was my three shop spree.

I even had some money left over from my tax rebate to buy a yummy dinner.

Hello Internet.

After a nearly a year of being a graduate, with no graduate job, I have nearly dug myself out of my overdraft. Which I didn't even have as a student. Four months of unemployment and no income whatsoever drained any savings I made during 3 years of part-timing during my degree. Although I really shouldn't be buying things I don't particularly need, just want, I can't help myself. Like most girls, I am a shopaholic to some degree. I won't post about everything I buy, having a written record of just how many bags of peanut m&m's I get through would be utterly depressing. Instead it will mainly be clothes, makeup, hair stuff and DVDs.
